Using Harry's DigiRave Raspberry Texture and VideoRave Wonderland |
| Step 1 Open a new image. Here I have used 500*500, background and foreground both white. |
| Step 2 Place your mouse in the centre of the image -- this will affect how the Wonderland filter works on your text later. Make a text entry, using a bold-style font. Hobo 44pt was used here. |
Step 3 Apply Raspberry Texture to the text without moving the sliders. |
Step 4 Brighten the image by 20%, and increase the contrast by 35%.
Step 5 Make sure foreground colour is set to white and, without deselecting the text, apply 2 coats of hot wax. Brighten/contrast twice, using the same settings you used before. (It's up to you -- one coat of hot wax and one dose of brighten/contrast works too. Try combinations to see which you prefer.)
| Step 6 Deselect your text and go to the VideoRave Wonderland filter. Move all the sliders over to the left, and adjust them as you wish. (You probably won't want to move the M and D waves much, if at all.) These are the settings I used : X wave : 5
If you use a black background, as I have in the example at the top of the page, you will need to adjust the brightness contrast a little more. I increased B/C each by 10% and added a single application of "Unsharp Mask" (Images/Sharpen menu) set at 1, 100,1. Note : In the "black" example, the text was not placed in the middle of the image, making for a slightly different effect on the waves. "Wonderland" is a radial filter, so its effects decrease as you move away from the centre of the radial. This can be used to advantage when working with any radial filters. |

The same initial stages of this method were used to create Copper Text. |
