Susan Spencer |
Watercolor artist |
|
Susan won First Prize in the inaugural 1998 Contemporary Art Contest hosted and sponsored by Art Dept on this very Internet site. Her entry, depicted above, proved to be the most consistently desired entry out of 113 works of art entered from worldwide submissions. As winner of this, the first ever major art contest ever to be held on the Internet, Susan was welcomed as a life member and permanent exhibitor. It is hoped that her work will remain to be enlightening and inspiring to all art students in this day of uncertainty as to the definition of art today. Susan's paintings are a depiction of light on various subjects. She uses strong colour and a loose interpretive style. "Watercolour becomes a way of life for the artist. I strive to always keep on learning and to reach a little further into myself with each painting experience." |
| Susan is devoted to her painting and on home ground in the USA, conducts many artists' workshops for those interested in watercolours. Links to her home page can be found on the next page that exhibits some more of her exquisite paintings and biography. |
