Computer renderings of the Southern Pacific Coast Daylight, 4449. This was the last and
most powerful class of steam engines to be produced before diesel locomotives took over
the workload. This line used to run the coastal line through San Francisco, Santa Barbara,
and down to Los Angeles. This particular engine displays the streamliner redesign after
the originals which were more freight trains used to haul over the mountains.
